One-pot Stovetop Creamy Ground Beef Pasta with rich Parmesan cream sauce. Easy comfort food ready in 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 8 ounces penne or fusilli pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Sauté diced onion for 5 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef, breaking apart as it cooks. Cook 6-8 minutes until completely browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Meanwhile, boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Pour vegetable broth into skillet with beef. Simmer 2 minutes, scraping up browned bits.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Simmer gently 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until completely melted and smooth.
  8. Add cooked pasta to skillet, tossing to coat evenly with sauce.
  9. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan on top.

Notes

  • Fresh grated Parmesan melts smoother than pre-grated.
  • Low-sodium broth allows better control of salt levels.
  • Don’t overcook pasta – it should be al dente.
