Mix coarse sugar and cinnamon on a small plate. Run lime wedge around rim of margarita glass and dip into cinnamon-sugar mixture. Set aside.
Fill cocktail shaker two-thirds full with ice cubes.
Add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, cranberry juice, agave nectar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves to the shaker.
Seal shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until outside frosts over and feels ice-cold.
Strain into prepared glass over fresh ice.
Thread fresh cranberries onto cocktail pick with orange slice. Add cinnamon stick and serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh lime juice for best flavor – bottled juice doesn’t provide the same bright taste.
For batch serving, multiply ingredients and mix in a pitcher (excluding ice). Refrigerate up to 4 hours, then shake or stir individual portions with ice.
Adjust agave nectar based on sweetness preference – start with less and add more if needed.
For stronger cinnamon flavor, infuse tequila with cinnamon sticks 24 hours in advance.
