Golden-seared chicken glazed with sweet hot honey and topped with tangy feta cheese. Ready in 25 minutes with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Let sit for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through to 165°F. Remove and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium-low. Add butter and hot honey to the skillet, stirring and scraping browned bits. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return chicken to skillet, spooning glaze over each piece. Cook another 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.
  6. Transfer to serving plate. Drizzle with extra glaze and sprinkle with crumbled feta and fresh herbs. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Let seasoned chicken rest before cooking for best flavor and juiciness.
  • Use a cast iron skillet for a deeper sear and even cooking.
  • For more spice, add chili flakes or cayenne into the glaze while simmering.
