Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oz brie cheese wheel
  • 6 oz sharp cheddar, sliced
  • 4 oz gouda, sliced
  • 4 oz blue cheese, crumbled
  • 4 oz prosciutto
  • 4 oz salami
  • 3 oz chorizo slices
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup red grapes
  • 1/2 cup figs, halved
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup mixed nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds)
  • 1/4 cup marinated olives
  • 1/4 cup roasted pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons fig jam
  • 1 small baguette, sliced
  • 1 cup assorted crackers

Instructions

  1. Clear workspace and lay out board. Remove cheeses from fridge 30-60 minutes before serving to soften. Slice baguette and prepare small bowls for spreads.
  2. Leave brie wheel whole, slice hard cheeses into pieces and chunks, crumble blue cheese. Arrange as anchors across the board for visual balance.
  3. Fold prosciutto into loose folds or roses, stack and fold salami into cones, layer chorizo in small overlapping piles.
  4. Position largest items (cheeses and bowls) across board with space between them for other ingredients.
  5. Tuck meat groupings near complementary cheeses (prosciutto by brie, chorizo near sharp cheddar).
  6. Cluster grapes in bunches, fan apple and pear slices, nestle halved figs near cheeses, scatter nuts and pumpkin seeds in small piles.
  7. Fan crackers along one side, lean baguette slices upright against cheese or in small bowl.
  8. Drizzle honey over brie, garnish with fresh herbs, add serving utensils and small plates nearby.
  9. Provide small plates, napkins, and knives. Refresh delicate items if serving for extended time.

Notes

  • Let cheeses come to room temperature for best flavor. Toss apple/pear slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  • Store leftovers separately in airtight containers, use within 3-5 days. For warm brie option: bake scored wheel at 350°F for 10-12 minutes.
