Easy Mediterranean casserole with tender chicken, creamy tzatziki sauce, and Greek flavors. Perfect for busy weeknights with minimal prep and no pre-cooking required.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken pieces, tzatziki sauce, Greek yogurt, feta cheese, cucumber, red onion, garlic, dill, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  5. Bake, uncovered, for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (165°F internal temperature) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Cut chicken into uniform 1-inch pieces for even cooking. Pat cucumber dry before adding to prevent excess moisture.
  • For pre-cooked or rotisserie chicken, reduce baking time to 20-25 minutes.
  • For a crispy top, broil for 2-3 minutes after baking, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Serve with rice, pasta, warm pita bread, or alongside a Greek salad for a complete meal.
