Chewy, high-protein bagels made with just two main ingredients and cooked to golden perfection in the air fryer. A quick and healthy breakfast or snack option.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Skyr yogurt
  • 1 cup self-rising flour (or 1 cup all-purpose flour + 1.5 tsp baking powder)
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 large egg, whisked (for brushing)
  • Optional: Sesame seeds
  • Optional: Everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix yogurt, flour, and sea salt until roughly combined.
  3. Form a dough ball with your hands.
  4. Transfer to a floured surface and knead until smooth.
  5. Divide dough into 4 parts, shape into bagels by poking a hole in the center.
  6. Brush each with egg wash and add toppings if desired.
  7. Line air fryer basket with parchment. Place bagels seed side down.
  8. Air fry for 8 minutes, flip, and air fry another 8 minutes.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Skyr or Greek yogurt both work well.
  • Try a sweet twist with berries and sugar in the dough.
