Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Blend cottage cheese until smooth.
  3. In a bowl, mix blended cottage cheese with self-rising flour until dough forms.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface 8–10 times.
  5. Divide dough into 4 parts, roll each into a rope, and form into bagels.
  6. Place on baking sheet. Brush with egg and season as desired.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
  8. Alternative: Air fry at 350°F for 9–11 minutes after shaping and brushing.

  • Dough should be tacky, not sticky—add flour if needed.
  • Top with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or everything bagel seasoning.
  • Use gluten-free self-rising flour for a gluten-free version.
